Russian mobiks looking like they could be from 1942, rather than 2022

I'm not sure you should be assuming anybodies ignorance of history. Nazi Germany (socialists) had the most advanced and well trained army in the world. This wouldn't have been possible without the funding for weapons research and development, training and equipping their military. Russia's problem is that in spite of enormous wealth, very little of it goes into modernising or even maintaining their military. They are sending soldiers into combat with outdated rations, obsolete weapons, even pre-soviet weapons, fake armour, they are 'missing' 1.5 million winter uniforms etc... That's not due to socialism, that's wilful negligence and mishandling of funds, better known as corruption.
