Russia's potential coronavirus vaccine shows 'no serious adverse events' and creates antibody response: The Lancet

I’m sick of that argument where people associate everything about a country with its leader

Say what you want about the Russian government, the country as a whole has been a scientific world leader for well over 100 years. They pioneered rocket technology, some of the most famous mathematicians and physicists were Russian, and today they’re a world leader in stem cell research, heart/lung transplants, and genetic engineering

Russian scientists know their shit pretty well. Just because they live under an autocratic regime doesn’t mean they’re bad scientists. If this vaccine gets approved first, starts to get distributed, and seems to be doing its job, then we’re all getting it

Someone’s gonna be the one to end this pandemic, and if it’s not a western democratic nation then so be it
