They are very much corporate film makers, their movies are all movies that have been accused of being made "via committee". I think what they're arguing against is this romanticization of the the director as this grand visionary where everyone is there to achieve his vision. The Russo's are like....nah, we're here to create a product that's gonna appease our bosses and audiences, and the reality is these projects require collaboration
