Conservative–DUP agreement

In British politics, the Conservative–DUP agreement refers to the working arrangement being negotiated between the Conservative Party and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) following the 2017 general election, which had resulted in a hung parliament. Negotiations between the two parties began on 9 June 2017. The principle of DUP confidence and supply support of a Conservative minority government was agreed on 10 June. This arrangement is yet to be discussed and confirmed by Prime Minister Theresa May's cabinet and its details have not yet been made public.

The Conservatives have a history of cooperation, agreements and electoral pacts with Northern Ireland unionist parties, particularly with the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP).
