Same. I used to really route for people and even some whether online or not would come to me for 'advice' (probably because they assume I am a normie). Then, I began to see a problem. I was motivating other people and helping them with some of my 'personal development' wisdom, when they didn't do that for me or I'd see that my 'advice' and motivation worked for others but not me. So, I have just become so bitter, jaded and pissed off that I'd 'downvote' or just not contribute to the glorification of someone's success story in real life too. On Reddit, I downvote more now than I upvote now. I don't even like giving people the validation anymore. Other people are quick to downvote, hate and attack you, so I just reciprocate. I actually think that's more of a good thing...
