As I say, I want to avoid spoilers for OP. But reread her comment and then think about volume 3 ending. I personally felt so heartbroken that I thought about dropping it there. I have a friend that got a spoiler in her recomended videos on youtube, volume 6 statue, and dropped it at the middle of season 3. It was hard to push through that event in the story.

That being said, I did dislike the volume. I could rant about all day, but in summary, it opens up with weapon porn, I dislike most of team RNJR's dynamic, specially the way they treat Jaune's leadership style (that opening was absolutely horrible), most of the plotpoints that are introduced get thrown in the trashcan (like, for example, Qrows hallucinations, or Jaune traning and creating gusts of wind, Ruby seeing how he's actually not ok and still griefing, etc) and I can't say how much I hate Oscar's character. Not because I hate the kid, but it's because it's Jaune all over again. I don't need Jaune 2.0 if I have Jaune classic right over there. The more characters you add, the more you have to split screentime between them, and most of what makes Oscar's first character arcs are either a redo of Jaune's or something that could have been given to Jaune and might have been more interesting that way.

It has a few good things, like the Nucklavee fight, but for me all in all it's rather poorly executed and most of the stuff in between is very forgetable.
