Ryan Reynolds champions LeVar Burton for 'Jeopardy' host as he recalls fans push to cast him as Deadpool: 'The rest is glorious history'

Is it really that Burton is awful or that people just don't think he's right for the job?

Me, personally, I didn't think he was awful. Yeah, he was super enthusiastic and could tone it down. But does the next host HAVE to be like Trebek? Does it have to be someone who's monotone and not excitable?

Like I get it, Jeopardy has been a thing for so long now and everyone's used to the format and feel of the show. But the amount of people saying he's awful/horrible/etc is just overreacting to me. He might be overly enthusiastic but that shouldn't automatically make him awful just because people expect the same style of jeopardy. I think some people are being a bit too harsh on him.
