It’s Clear Elon is Shooting From the Hip and is Floundering with Twitter

Listen, is it still early? Sure. Could he turn it around? Yeah, anything’s possible, but if continues down this current pattern I don’t have faith this turns out right for him.

It’s just so patently clear he has very little-no forethought in what he’s doing. I mean, look at this list of decisions in the past month:

despite facing hefty litigation and already being behind on projects promised to shareholders Elon seemingly decides to make an incredibly lofty offer on Twitter despite having no social company experience.Elon clearly gets cold feet on the deal and tries to back out of it, so much so to the point that the courts are forced to intervene and make him honor his word.Elon assumes control of the company and immediately alienates advertisers (the primary revenue stream) through sharing unverified conspiracy theories. Hate speech also sores in the immediate aftermath of Elon’s purchase, which further alienates revenue streams.

-Advertisers say they’re simply pausing their ad buys, not outright stopping. Elon meets with one of the largest marketing conglomerates in the world and assures them they have nothing to worry about, then hours later publicly heavily insinuates advertisers ought to be publicly shamed and punished for considering withdrawing money.

Elon issues mass layoffs, but somehow fails to take in consideration California law, opening himself up to more hefty litigation. It’s reported that Twitter is trying to hire back dozens of laid off employees not even 12 hours after their initial dismissal. Now he’s begging people with premier resumes in one of the most competitive employee-friendly job markets in recent memory to come back and take their old jobs back.

What about any of this is indicative of someone who is measured, has forethought, and clear tangible strategy?
