It was a dumb and weird thing to say but it was taken out of context imo.
The truth no one wants to admit is that many anti-abortionists actually received abortions in their past. It was their unpreparedness for the emotional trauma and guilt that turned them against abortions
? What is your source for this? From what I understand most of them may already identify as pro-life before. http://nymag.com/thecut/2015/05/pro-life-views-change-if-abortion-gets-personal.html
Most prominent anti-abortion activists seem to be people who are detached from the issue and don't fully understand it- i.e lots of men..or this person http://jezebel.com/5932715/god-use-me-in-whatever-way-meet-the-24-year-old-whos-willing-to-die-for-the-anti-abortion-movement see also: http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/12/ohio-lawmaker-never-thought-about-why-women-get-abortions.html
treating abortions so lightly that we're probably pushing tens of thousands of young women into them unprepared for the emotional toll.
???? What do you mean? You don't think the amount of stigma around this procedure is a problem? You do know that abortion rates are at their lowest in decades, right? http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/11/abortion-rates-are-lowest-in-decades.html
Did you see this study that just came out? http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2016/12/abortion-doesnt-cause-anxiety-or-depression/510575/ Abortion does not cause trauma. The idea that it does is a right-wing myth.
