My house is still quarantining and self isolating as much as possible, and we get shit for it. My friend (who got back from a Florida vacation with 2 other households) tells me I’m being ridiculous staying in because “everyone gets it and it’s not that bad for people our age”.

Her argument is basically that it’s inevitable getting it so might as well live normally. Selfish and honestly dangerous thinking. Her friend who got it “at a safe dinner party after quarantining for weeks!!!” just went on vacation too and now feels she can do whatever she likes because she “has antibodies”. I wanted to scream. People like this are exactly why I’m staying in as long as possible.
