I had to get it, we kept going over our 1TB data cap so I called in to get unlimited data. I read it would cost $50/mo to do so going into it. The rep surprisingly suggested I try the XFi Advantage program where I’m required to rent/use their modem but in turn I get unlimited data for only $15/mo which includes the modem rental fee. I returned my owned modem then just put theirs on bridge mode to my nice router.

The cost to upgrade my internet/TV plan from 150mbps to the gigabit plan was only $15 so I figured why not. So I went from expecting to pay an extra $50/mo to get unlimited data at 150mbps to only $30 for unlimited and gigabit. If you have xfinity I definitely suggest to call them up and ask about it - I know the program isn’t offered everywhere, though.
