It’s me, I’m here, deal with it

All I know is my brother thought he was gay as a child because all of his friends were boys and then quickly changed his mind once he hit puberty.

Look. This is a free country and you want to have your kid transitioned to a different gender, fucking go for it I don't care it's not my right to decide that. But I'm also allowed to think that it is wrong also and I think it's crazy that I would even be considered bigoted or transphobic for having that point of view. How is it cruel and unnecessary to think that a person should actually hit puberty and know what it's actually like to be a man or woman before they decide to change? You say "given what we know" as if it's an open and shut case. Ok this has been researched and it's proven to be beneficial for kids suffering from gender dysphoria. So.... what? Now we transition all the the boys that like playing with barbies? We announce to the whole world that this is the best solution for any kid that is confused? I'm not saying you're proposing that, but it's an incredibly complicated issue and those questions do arise because there are some crazy fucking parents out there. Like my brother, kids can be very confused and preventing puberty is a massively life changing decision that should not be taken lightly at all. So that's why I would advocate for parents to wait to transition their kids until after puberty just to be sure. But that somehow makes me transphobic.
