…It’s Pretty Obvious Conservatives Aren’t Praying Hard Enough For Mass Shootings To Stop

8 years ago when I was 20 I was caught in this atheism fever. I thought gods are cruel beings that allow such atrocities to happen. Now I know better. People are fundamentally resentful and they have a deep seated need to band together and face a common faceless enemy. Here atheism is just another outlet, another coat for these sad resentful beings to wear for the cool factor, in order to express their anger and revenge fantasies. They have become a parodies of themselves.

However IMO atheism is especially more dangerous in the case of polarized people because they often hold a more nihilistic view towards life compared to common religious folks. They believe themselves intellectual, hence they are common arrogant and disdain towards "primitive" religious folks. Arrogance leads to rejection of disciplines in humility (one manifestation of which is the fear of something greater than themselves).

If only these "intellectual" atheists actually spend time and study various religious texts and what they mean in a purposeful and transcending manner they would have dropped their stupid anti-belief of the man in the sky (a form of belief regardless of how they try to delude themselves).

Or maybe they are too young and too dumb to realize the nuances of values passed down through generations. That seems more likely considering Reddit demographics are most young males.
