It’s rough in the trenches

Why'd OP match if 70 miles is a deal breaker?

A few months before Covid, I spent 8 days in Disney World, 2k miles away from home. It was supposed to be one last "original" family trip. Back in the 90's my grandparents took the family every single year. Nobody had gone since around 2009 though. My grandparents were 86 and we all thought we would go as a family one last time and take them.

Last minute my grandmother got sick, and my brother, four cousins, and aunt all dropped out.

It was just my mom, stepfather, and me. While I still managed to have a ton of fun, it was winter. The parks were closed by like 7/8pm. My mom and stepfather, being in their 60's, were absolutely dead by that time of night after the parks. I was not.

So I just sat at the hotel bar from them until it closed looking for locals or other lonely vacationers who wanted to meet up on Tinder.

Matched the very last day with a girl who seemed amazing, but it was her first day there and my last day. Didn't have time to see each other in person.

Got like three other matches while in MCO, after not getting any the first 8 days.

A few hours later we were all thousands of miles away.
