It’s tough being an enlightened centrist

i gather you're referring to the colour of their shirts. That is problematic in it of itself and indicates a kind of blind faith rather than using reason. I prefer to just look at the arguments made. Hating someone for hating puppies is not morally superior. I know some good people that hate dogs.

I know it's "symbolic" but given that array of more appropriate things they could say, this does seem unnecessarily vague to me.

Must say I'm a little disappointed with this sub today. I consider myself a radical leftist/progressive. I have some pretty wildly out there views yet here it seems people still prefer to knee-jerk and accuse people of things.

It's an annoying trait with the left and unfortunately it alienates people on the right even more. That will never happen to me but I do see many others being affected by the instant hostility and smugness some leftists give when people make a slight misstep or what have you. It's pretty rude when someone just feels like challenging certain perspectives or norms. It's a shame because I can't stand centrists almost as much as right wing conservatives so I have no idea why it's so hard for me to fit in here.

Cleaned it up for you. I only did it because the alternatives have different meanings and I have no idea how other people would take it.

Yea, EC is a big circle jerk of strawmen. It's good to call out leftism in a healthy way.
