"Correlation does =/= causation" The 300% tax was introduced BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT WANT CITIZENS DRIVING. That was literally the f'n reason lol. I'm not arguing against Denmark itself, because a lot of Denmark's tax code is rather ingenious (at least for the social system it is). I am saying, that the reason people don't drive is because they literally cannot afford it. That is the reason people are petitioning for the government to drop the rate another 80% so now it would be a 100% tax rate.

Not to mention impractical. There are plenty of situations where you would need a car (there not being public transport in the area you are) or the fact that 20% of all bikes are stolen every year. I don't want to imagine being screwed because someone stole my bike and now relying on public transportation to take me where I need to go on time. Biking is great, I love it, but I wouldn't want it to be my sole reliant factor.
