It’s very disappointing to be a part of this fanbase today! Blatant bigotry and racism is being allowed on this sub.

The worst part is that in a sense, I agree that I wish they were more "faithful" to the source material. Tolkien's world building is phenomenal. It's consistent, logical, and incredibly in depth. If he says a certain people look a specific way, however minor this detail is, I actually don't think it's unreasonable to give pause when that detail is altered.

The care and attention put into all of those little details culminates into something that is almost as impressive as the stories themselves. The world building itself basically spawned thousands of derivative works that are amazing in their own right (Elder Scrolls fan here).

But this whole white Black Panther nonsense I'm seeing from the same few users makes it abundantly clear that it's not about the world building anymore. They would have a better argument if it was. Hell, I just gave them one.
