• Charles was rejected by his family. His family that was well off and a nice life. He kills preppies, because they have it all. But he doesn’t see himself as a bad guy. He sees himself as an innocent kid rejected by his family. So if he’s not a bad guy, he makes it a point to kill preppies that are undoubtedly bad.

He worked hard his whole life, on his own, and became an FBI agent with a shit ton of ressources. Suddenly his rejectful family is inviting him back in their lives and keeps asking hi for help. Of course he’s gonna fucking spy on them with all the gadgets he has at his disposal.

• Chick. We don’t know much about his past before Charles, but he obviously had a messed up childhood. Then one day he meets Charles and fall in love with him. Then he learns that Charles was rejected by his family. One day Charles’s sister comes looking for him. Why would he lead her to him. Charles is the man that he loves, the only person he’s able to love after his traumatizing childhood.

So he needs to protect Charles, to be the buffer between the Coopers and him; afterall they rejected him when he was a baby, while they lived a perfect family life. So he pretends to be Charles, to find out what the Coopers are really about. But he’s not going to let them have it easy. They are acting as if they want him back now, after 20+ years? Suddenly they have all this love for him? Fuck that, he is going to push them as hard as he possibly can.

What happens when he does that? His supposed loving sisters orders a serial killer to kill him, the same serial killer who had a major hand in rejecting Charles in the first place.

So yeah, he decides fuck this family and fuck this town, Imma go Gargoyle kind on their asses.

• Jellybean was cast aside since she’s been a kid. She was sent to live with her drug lord mother. She didn’t get to grow up in a nice family home and go to a nice school. As far as she knew, she had a deadbeat dad that lived in a trailer and was a gang leader. But when she meets him years laters, it turns out he’s a sheriff and lives in a nice home and has a good family life.

But then there’s a bunch of crazy stories going on in her town, that are affecting her life, that are affecting her shot at a nice normal life. For most of these events she’s on the outs, she sees and hears them happening. But they’re not really real to her. So she easily gets duped into playing Gryphons and Gargoyles. Reality starts kicking in when she gets kidnapped by the gargoyle king. She is starting to realize these crazy stories are kind of true.

So now she’s torn between two worlds. A very gloomy one where here mom is a drug lord, her dad is a gang leader and a whole bunch of people are getting killed or worse in her childhood town. In the other world, her dad is the sheriff, and has a loving household for her and her brother. She also gets a second chance at a decent mom with Alice.

Suddenly Jughead decides he’s leaving. By doing that he’s destroying any shot she has at that second, happy world. So she starts to lash out, the only way she knows how: as an outsider. She sends videos seen through her eyes: “Hey, I exist. I know all of you. I see all of you. I live amongst you. I matter.”

Shortly after that, her brother, fakes his own death. FP was in on the plan, but what about Jellybean? My dream family is faking their own deaths? Enough! So her videos escalate. She starts making fake snuff films, recreating all the insane events she was privy too.

This show is a fucking masterpiece. Fuck you.
