[S7E6] D&D Could Have Done ONE Thing That Would Have Made Last Episode 100 x better

The fact that this comment has so many upvotes shows how many people are desperate to justify the bungled writing of this episode just because they like this show...

Like, here's just a handful of questions that came to my mind with this scenario:

  • How did the NK know there were living dragons?

  • How did he know that these random people that he trapped on a convenient island were important enough to the person with the dragons for them to show up?

  • How would he have even planned for this absurd plan to capture a wight to begin with? It sounds insane!

  • Why didn't he kill Drogon who was right in front of him and doom our entire cast with him, rather than Viserion who was flying at high speeds in the distance?

  • Also did they really drag Viserion through 7 seasons of content just so they could kill him off and give the NK a dragon?

  • Also they do realize how narratively problematic giving the NK the ability to fly is right? Since now if he wanted to he could just ... fly over the wall and start raising an unstoppable army from the numerous corpses littering Westeros. They just made the wall completely pointless if the NK is as smart as everyone claims he is to cook up this dragon plan.

  • That throw was insane, they writers do realize that right? I sure hope we get to see repeat gold medal performances from the NK in future episodes or I'd almost call BS on that stunt he just pulled.

All valid questions ... and that's not even all of them and only the ones I came up with in the "maybe" 5 minutes it took for that scene to play out.
