This is a sad incident.

Germany is always going to downplay their racial problems in order to keep people from relating Germany to itself from the mid-20th century. I know they are trying to move forward, but we must be real with ourselves and not forget that the current youth's elders were mostly likely Nazis. While they may not follow or identify with it, you can't negate the fact that this country grew up with ideas and a history very different from most of us. They probably heard stories and prejudices about people which we can't wrap our heads around.

But what can I say that's going to speak louder than what happened here? If people are going to continue killing each other based on their appearance then we haven't come very far at all.

on a side note, how certain brands who supplied the SS with vehicles and clothing are still world famous and successful is beyond me. (Mercedes, Hugo Boss..)
