Even this sub is such. People been like this forever because "Hinduism=/=Hindutva", "Hindu atheist" are easy excuses to keep oneself sane and not conflicted. People abandoned sati but they can't abandon other things till some hue and cry against those things.

Many Hindus are now supporting others eating beef but can't have it themselves. Or the ones who won't go to puja because they are menstruating. Its tolerance of other's sensibilities(others can eat beef, others must think one is pure while doing puja) without understanding the socialist principles that gave rise to equality, woman empowerment etc and how it affects oneself too.

Maybe I say this because I'm Marxist? Traditions, Religion, Oneness to a community mean less to me. hindu, Dalit, Muslim shouldnt matter in the workplace. To me bird meat, dog meat, cat meat, beef are all same to me. I can either go full vegan, or eat any non-sentient animal. And people should either fully reject religion and develop their own morality or go full sati-bhakt.
