I want to sail through that rock so badly.

I’m the same way when it comes to not knowing anything about the series. However I am eventually going to purchase all the book / get around to playing The Witcher / The Witcher 2. I have played both of them in the past, and I kick myself every day for trying out the first Witcher game years ago when it first came out, and not thinking much about it other than it was really pretty, but I was also like 12 so oh well. But ugh I should’ve just played through it back then before all these years past, after it ended up aging pretty poorly :(

Unfortunately I was never able to play through the Witcher 2 because I never owned a 360 and my computer at the time for sure couldn’t even comfortably play it on low setting, but lowkey I literally purchased a PS4 to play The Witcher 3 because the trailers blew me away so much, and after putting in around 20 hours and getting half way through the Bloody Barron quest, I loved it so much and didn’t want my experience to be hindered by performance / also needed to purchase a computer regardless for university, that I bought a gaming laptop (yeah I know I should’ve gotten a desktop that would’ve been way better for cheaper / the same price but I needed a laptop really badly) so I bought a laptop with a 970m / i7 just to play through the game, hoping that I’d get around a smooth 30 fps at medium settings instead of my PS4 which seemed to struggle with the game and get frames around 20ish fps in the bogs (this was on the launch copy of the game, im sure the performance has been updated since) and my laptop was able to max the game out in 1080p with everything on ultra minus hairworks and I’d average between 40 - 60 fps and it was the best investment ever because ugh this damn is seriously fucking magical as I’m sure you already know since you’re on your fourth play through which makes this entire comment pointless, but I don’t even care because I just love bragging about this game so damn bad.
