Salary progression thread

We have been hiring and training full stack developers since the beginning of COVID.

While in training, we pay them 5K per month, at least for 1 to 3 months.

Then hikes to 10K per month. Thereafter a 3K to 5K hike every 3 months depending on how fast they're learning. By the end of first year, they'll be making 3 LPA.

The same progression in salary for second year too, they will be making around 5 to 6 LPA by the end of second year.

No bonds or stock options or anything like that. Just a 1 month notice period if they're leaving. Also no paid holidays or official days off count or anything like that either, if they need day off, they just let us know.

I think this is an okay amount for the first 2 years, since we take them being a non programmer to pretty much getting started on a good career path with a foundation in frontend and backend. Mostly after 1st year, they choose which side they like to focus on.

I'd like to know if any of you have any feedbacks or criticisms for about our current structure.

My personal journey:

2019: Passout (with 1 hear experience from gap year internships)

2019: 3.5 LPA

2020: 7.2 LPA

2021: 9 LPA
