Salty Saturday & Sunday - Unpopular Opinion Thread

I’m so tired of everything being turned into a gender issue on this show. Are some of the guys on this show misogynistic and have some them treated women poorly in the past? Yes. cough Johnny and Zach cough But a man simply arguing with a woman does NOT make him sexist.

Cara trying to act like Bear was arguing with/talking over herself and ninja “because they were women” and listening to Theo and Turbo “because they were men” was ridiculous. Cara and ninja were both criticizing Bear, so of course he was going to interrupt and argue. Theo was his friend in the game, so obviously he was going to listen to him, and Turbo was being very respectful to Bear. He wasn’t talking down to him, yelling, or coming at him with any aggression like Cara and ninja were.

Even Cara’s issues with Zach was silly. Is Zach disrespectful to women? Yes. Was he being disrespectful to Cara last episode because she’s a woman? No. She was on a power trip and he didn’t wanna deal with it. I don’t even like Jenna or Zach, but I was so happy when Jenna cut in and said “stop making everything a girl issue.”

I’m not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, and I don’t want anyone to think that I’m disregarding actual issues, because I do consider myself a feminist, but accusing a man of being sexist just because he argued with you is a bit of a reach.
