#SaltyAF: Has it become impossible to make Black audiences happy?

You are right in that there aren't enough black directors and writers to portray the black experience in the best way. (If that was what you are trying to say) However, when we state our feelings about improper casting we shouldnt have to feel like our feelings are invalid or that we are complaining. Because it isn't that often and like you said the feelings are mostly valid such as with Nina Simone, Michael, or when videos resurfaced of the writers wanting to cast a white person as Hariet Tubman. It's with shows or movies that are marketed wrong or historically stirring where the casting goes wrong and there is an uproar. If he is portraying his life he should title it with his name not pander it to the people.

There are plenty of shows on television. Not every part of black film is as good as The Fresh Prince, Girlfriends or Ray but they hold their own place in everyone's hearts. The people can't knock everything that's knew for not being like the classics. Things change and a lot of shows are great that aren't reality TV. However, the management needs to get better and more people need to be in film behind the scenes. There needs to be black people when they promise black people.
