Sam Harris’ “Waking Up Course” app is now available on the App Store.

How is one to encourage a conversation when someone is providing no insight into why they believe the things they do? Is one to ignore someone making unsubstantiated claims when trying to have a discussion with the purposes of finding truth? Demands for proof and insight have been one and the same in these replies. Requesting either your personal insight and empirical insight. People have been asking what you mean and to enlighten us to why you think certain things as well as proof. Perhaps take on board the number of people saying those things about facts and claims that you quoted and the importance of these things in honest discourse.

The worst of the criticism directed at you was the you're misguided and misinformed and that was after some attempted discussion.. Your first comment was that Harris is a "racist neo-con - incredibly damaging to our culture "

How does saying you're misguided and misinformed prove you point?
