Real Madrid , Barcelona, Manchester United, and others have had major injuries and are still getting heavily criticized so City should be as well. Pep can’t just be the best manager when things are going great, and everyone’s fit and motivated . Pep knew about the injuries before the game, but refused to do anything about it which put his players in horrible positions being up against Jimenez and Traore far more then they should’ve . Emery also has poor defensive options, but his job has been questioned numerous times. Yes Manchester City have had issues but a start to the league this poor should be unacceptable. I don’t agree with Sam Lee’s narrative here because there are always excuses for when a team performs poorly.
