Same Old Democrats

I think most Liberals/Leftists understand why they lost honestly. If the Dems actually ran an appealing candidate with a cohesive message the party as a whole got behind, then they would have had better turnout. Bernie got shafted by the party, but was popular enough. Hillary had the support of the party, but was at best a tepid candidate. How many people voted for her because they thought the Trump alternative was worse, and not because they actually wanted her? That's not an appealing choice and it doesn't leave people proud when they leave the booth. It also doesn't draw out the voters.

The new branding of "The Better Deal" is perfect, it takes the populist arguments that Bernie advocated for and now has the party's support. It's shifted towards an actual economic agenda now, which in theory should appeal to a lot more moderates than a "not-Trump" candidacy did.

I'm curious to see specifics about how they expect to achieve the goals as the lay it out over the next few months. If there's an actual plan in place, with specifics (beyond "we're gonna repeal Obamacare!") then I think they have a chance. I can't forgive the DNC for fucking over Bernie like they did, but this is at least a start and a cohesive message that has been severely lacking.
