Samsung will not replace my device like for like

Phone was bought in early October, issue first reported in November and the repair process has been ongoing since then and I haven’t had the phone at all since early February.

Please keep in mind this is the S9 + Hybrid (Dual SIM) so the pricing is slightly higher and you cannot buy it anywhere at the moment as Samsung have just removed it from the store.

I didn’t mention this, but the issue was present when I first got the device, I just blamed the network I was on as I had just moved at the same time as the phone. So it has been faulty since purchase.

Where do I stand if I get the replacement and it presents the same issue? Does it change the situation that I was sold a device at full price that has a known manufacturing defect from purchase? I am quite sure this will be the case.
