Take Russia's proposal for federalization in Ukraine seriously

While everything mentioned by you above I agree with, I can't agree with this the last one. I think it is neither Europe or USA, nor Russia shall decide what is better for Ukraine, and especially for Novorossia/Donbass, but solely the people of Ukraine/Novorossia themselves. Exactly the same way how the Crimeans have chosen being with Russia, the people of Novorossia shall choose what they want and with whom they want to be as one. And they have already chosen a year ago - by their referendum, by their numerous demonstrations and rallies all over Donbass and now they are showing their choise more than clear - by their incredibly strong resistance and by all the costs for this choice. Russia, too, has no right to tell these people what they have to do and how they have to live. If these people want to be RUSSIA, LET THEM BE RUSSIA!!! Russia has no right to reject their choice and tell them that she "doesn't need Novorossia" and her people!!! It is not current government who decides that but PEOPLE themselves! And I can explain why. Most of 30 yo and older people of Donbass were born in the USSR and they consider themselves the citizens of the SAME country - Russia! Even ethnical Ukrainians who were living in Donbass considered themselves Russians, because it was ONE country and ONE nation - Soviet people. Nobody back them were paying attention to nationality, except only Baltic ones, and Western Ukraine, who were always mentally and culturally closer to Europe. But Donbass - Lugansk, Donetsk, Mariupol, Slavyansk, Kharkov and all these cities have always been Russian, even if they were belonging to artificial formation USR (Ukrainian Soviet Republic).

My own family is half Russian and half Ukrainian. My mother is ethnically Ukrainian but she was always associating herself with Russians, she doesn't even speak Ukrainian language while knows it perfectly. And she always wanted to live in Russia like before. My other friends are like that too. Therefore I know what really people there want. And many many other people TOO know what they want! You have no idea HOW MANY relatives were divided by this artificial border! Half of them are living in Ukraine and other half in Russia! Millions of such people! And they have their right to determine their OWN FATE! Nobody like Putin, or whoever, has the right to decide for these people where they want to go - to Europe or to Russia. Russia MUST take these people of Donbass back to Russian Federation, MUST put the official border between those who want to live in Europe and those who want to live in Russia and thus put the end to this fratricide!
