Sanctuary cities lose access to federal grants that require complying with federal immigration law – cue the histrionics

Don't you believe that Republicans committed election fraud in the Rust Belt states and stole the 2016 election?

I doubt that happened, because it would require a whole lot of concerted action and someone honorable would have stepped forward to expose the conspiracy. It's imaginable that Russian hackers messed with the vote tallies -- but I doubt that it could have happened without our intelligence community twigging onto it.

My rancor arises from my conviction that Trump is not a Republican and he's trashing my party, possibly permanently -- e.g. by terrorizing Hispanics and turning them permanently against us. I guess I'm looking for an explanation for Trump's victory other than our voters include a multitude of idiots and creeps. I don't know if I want to be a Republican anymore -- and I don't have an alternative I can stomach.

You're concern trolling. your theory on the effectiveness of identity politics

I'm old and unhip, and don't know what either of those things mean. Can you explain please?

Hillary Clinton's ... won just 66% of Latino voters

Just? She was a terrible candidate, and still got two-thirds of the votes from the fastest growing segment of the electorate. That's bad news in the long run, if that voting pattern holds. IMO, it's going to get worse as a result of ICE raids and attacks on sanctuary cities.

The Democrats should honestly reallocate their political focus away from illegal immigrants and onto the white working class.

Who cares what the Democrats do? What should we do, to right the Republican Party?

Or are you cool with the status quo? Uh, that's not intended as an insult.
