Sanders and Cruz CNN Town Hall Debate Discussion

Shopping based on price alone causes a lot of problems. That brings us to buying everything at Walmart and other big box stores and hurting locally owned businesses, which in turn destroys the downtown's of our small towns. For every $1 spent in a locally owned and operated store much more of it goes back to stimulate the local economy than spending it at a chain store. So, I feel that customers should make wiser spending choices than just the bottom dollar line. I've seen cafes that have signs up saying "We add 10% on to every bill to pay for health insurance for our employees." So again there's one option. The single payer option, I don't understand why you automatically dismiss it that it won't work. There's a possibility that it could work, because it does work elsewhere, and what we've got has a lot of problems. They didn't have health insurance when the Constitution was written did they? But I think in our time it can be seen as something that allows a very basic existence free from undue stresses and suffering, which everyone should have. Certainly as a first world country we should be able to come up with a way to provide medicine to everyone who needs it. Finally, I don't understand why every socialized system in our government is fed. I think our country is doing pretty well in terms of public education (world renowned), national parks (people come from all over the world to see), space exploration research which then leads to product development, to name a few...which ones do you mean that every one is fed?
