Sanders: 'We lost some very important fights' in Democratic platform

People don't realize that a party is so much more than just an electoral political body.

A real party of the working class knows it isn't going to compete with the democrats and republicans because the system was never built to allow for the interests of capital to be opposed by the working class. That's why shit like the electoral college was built into the system, so that poor people wouldn't vote away the wealth of the rich.

A real third party is going to work on building a cohesive social movement that actually has the power to improve working people's lives directly, through strikes and direct action tactics that take matters into their own hands instead of waiting for the permission of those playing in a rigged system. Our platform would not be about getting elected, although if we did get people elected it would be important to show people how ineffective the current system is (such as bernie has to an extent). The real goal would be establishing dual power until we effectively control society truly from the ground up. Not through the ballot box, but through solidarity and class consciousness.
