I just want to clarify that it’s actually because this comment cherry-picks facts and is completely unspecific about what it’s trying to condemn. Even to this day, democrats value border security. “Super pro closed borders” are lazy buzzwords and this completely ignores the fact that both parties used to posture themselves completely differently when it came to immigration. Prominent democrats like Barbara Jordan and Diane Feinstein frequently spoke about the importance of border security and ensuring that the American people are taken care of first. I’m not sure if you realize all of this and are trying to single Bernie out to make your point or if you’re just totally unaware of the way the political climate has shifted.
