Sandy Hook victim's mother: Congress to blame in Las Vegas shooting

Many countries have this and it is not a problem, people are not kidnapped and raped in public so intervention from a gun owner would never be necessary.

This is very, very, very wrong. What those places have are a measure of liberty traded for a measure of safety, which in proper proportions are acceptable. People are kidnapped and raped every day in those nations, just not with guns. A thoughtful person chooses to accept a balanced reality and recognizes their place in it.

As such, I wouldn't carry a pistol if I lived in those places. But I don't. I live in a place where guns are common, and will always be common.

No place is perfect but when you have an order of magnitude less gun deaths and were police do not shoot you because you may have a gun, I would say this is much more preferable to the US gun nonsense.

These places exist. Our choices are to move to those places (have you?) or change this one.

So let's say we're going to change this one. There is exactly one reasonable, legal, American way to do that. What do you think that is?
