"Sanity is a little box; insanity is everything." -Charles Manson

I deleted my comment because we got to splitting hairs.

It's all semantics. Your definition of insanity is nonconformity. My definition of insanity is psychosis. That is the traditional definition.

The two are not the same thing so we were talking about two different things.

I am not interested in discussing conformism, but generally speaking I agree that one should not blindly conform. But I do stand by psychosis being a mental prison, because I've experienced it, and it's a mental prison.

I deleted my comments because the discussion was inane and I thought leaving my short original comment in place would be more powerful for readers than them reading us getting bogged down in semantics and talking past each other, which is what happened.

But since you decided to re-post one of my comments anyway:

After I deleted my comment /u/MATERlAL sent me this message. I'll post it here because it's funny. Enjoy.

Not sure why you backed out of a our discussion, but you had to have regretted your words in some form.

When talking to people (yes even on the internet), don't assume people are idiots without putting effort into what they have to say.

Don't be the one to turn a discussion into an argument. It does the opposite of help your point come across.

Get off that high horse.

Don't claim to know everything about such a deep and complicated topic such as mental illness.

Hear what people have to say. You're only ONE brain with ONE perspective. Why be so sure of yourself?

All of these things only work against your quest for knowledge.

Move along.

Anybody wanna take a ride with me on my horse? There's room for two.
