Why is psychosis a problem? Because it gets in the way of living

Um, how about because it's horrendous, gut-wrenching, nonstop suffering. That's why psychosis is a problem. Not whatever intellectualization you want to give for it. Psychosis is not a label put upon you by society. Psychosis is an experience. A psychotic does not go to a shrink because other people think he's crazy.

And maybe the reason I hesitated to delve into this is because the conversation was going to force me to get into something so deeply personal. And no, I'm still not getting into it with a stranger on the Internet in a public forum, not gonna happen.

Oh, and I don't mind that you posted my private message. Why would I post something and then take it back??

I posted in in the vague hope you'd be embarrassed by it. Assuming people are idiots? Being the one to turn a discussion into an argument? Seriously? Claiming to know everything?

Since I didn't do those things, you pulled them straight out of your ass. Those things came from you. Check your projections, bro.

And this business about a "quest for knowledge?" I provided my pithy opinion of a quote on Reddit for fuck's sake. My quest for knowledge takes me far, far beyond Reddit, which for me is mostly a place to blow off steam.

Not to mention if you want to be oh-so-helpful towards others with advice for their "quest for knowledge", I might advise you to drop the utterly contemptuous, dismissive, insulting tone the whole message took.

Seriously, re-read my comments, and then read your message. Done? Okay, if you're not now embarrassed by your message, I can't help you.

Have a nice day.
