santana dharma = eternal religion = hinduism

the shutdown is definitely hopeful news.

religious institutions- be they temples, mosques, or churches, across india have been stubborn about shutting down. coming from an indian muslim family (i am an exmuslim antitheist myself, abs the spouse is agnostic, although we're still culturally muslim), i had been actively trying to convince mosques in my neighborhood and my parents' neighborhood to shut down until my state in india went into lockdown on march 22nd.

ever since the lockdown, i have resorted to straight up calling the cops on any mosques in my city that i hear are still operational. indian police brutality is hideous, but this i feel takes precedence over my disgust towards our police force's penchant for violence and tendency towards muslimphobia.
