Saranda Bogujevci survived 16 bullets and lost 14 members of her family, including her mother and two brothers, during Serbia's brutal military crackdown on ethnic Albanians in 1999. Yesterday Saranda was elected vice-president of the Parliament of Kosovo!

You may think you are being an astute critical intellectual but in reality

Nice. It must be so nice to have such a confident and concrete knowledge of history, even though it seems you are interpreting certain things quite subjectively (and it must be said, you seem quite personally invested in villifying Serbs, or at least that is how my "uncritical, unintellectual" brain is perceiving it, but pardon me I'm just one of "the fucking Serbs" that the highly voted comment I replied to is referring to).

Most of what you wrote doesn't seem to hold up to scrutiny either. You implied that Serbia is somehow responsible for the actions of the Nazi occupation forces? Do you blame Poles and Poland for Auschwitz? Do you also say "Poland genocided Jews to an even more "successful" degree"?

Even the phrase "Serbien ist judenfrei" was infamously said by the commander of the Security Police and Gestapo in Serbia, Emanuel Schäfer. Not a very Serbian name, but perhaps I'm too unenlightened to know the difference.

I was not (and do not) deny the atrocities that Serbs have inflicted on their neighbours now or in the past.

However, any statement that is so upvoted with the phrase "the fucking Albanians" or the "the fucking Croats" or "the fucking Serbs" is indefensible. Which was the only comment I replied to.

I'm not even sure what your broader point is? Since Serbs were definitely the most to blame (I agree), we should ignore all context that might show why and how that happened? Are you suggesting that Serbs are just inherently evil or something that it's okay to defend a comment that says "the fucking Serbs"?
