The sausage question

My grandfather died at 87 a couple of years ago, he ate a full breakfast everyday including 2-3 eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy etc. plus game meat and brains. Fried and baked chickens, pheasants and farm raises beef, pigs and a long list of other game animals.

He did have heart problems for his final years but he also was a heavy smoker and drinker for many years. I am not advocating his diet just pointing out that even with that diet if you add it with hard work and a toughness it’s possible to eat a heavy fat/cholesterol diet and reach almost 90 spewing on about, “get me some bacon and jelly toast and a cigarette!” on your death bed in your late 80’s.
