To save itself, Netflix might have to play nice with an industry it battled for years - the movie theaters

Good on Chris, I say. Warner Bros really fucked him over.

Nolan is one of a fistful of filmmakers whose movies are undeniably made to be seen and experienced in a cinema. The man is a traditionalist in every sense of the word. His films are fucking gorgeous and are some of the best movie-going experiences I’ve ever had. Watching his shit in 70mm IMAX is downright life changing.

WB tried forcing his hand (after successfully forcing a bunch of other directors—WITHOUT their permission) to release Tenet on streaming alongside theatres. Nolan being Nolan said also-fucking-lutely not and bit the bullet before WB introduced their 2021 day and date schedule. Then everyone called him selfish because he refused to get butt fucked by the industry.

Anyways, I could not be more excited for Oppenheimer. Apparently it’s the first film in history to shoot in IMAX black and white analog photography, which means it will be the highest-resolution film celluloid ever produced.
