Saw this homeless man casually playing Xbox at Target.

First off thank you for being respectful in this debate. Let's hope we can both keep it that way. Anyways...

First you said most of the time it does start as a choice and people do it for the rush. To make sure I am responding correctly you're essentially saying people do drugs cause they like how they feel. Fair enough. But ever consider the possibility they like how they feel because they never felt good or mentally stable throughout most of there rational life? That they chose to use because they are feeling abnormal and depressed and confused at a medical level, not your average person's good day bad day but every day is a terrible day and you just can't physically manage your emotions? Because that's a sick mind right there and a sick mind leads to sick decisions even of there's a human being behind all that distress. Again I'm not saying we should take the responsibility away and coddle addicts, I'm just saying it's sometimes physically impossible thanks to predispositions that counter to what you said before are the MAJORITY of addicts. Yes they like the rush but it's the why from a physiological perspective. Also sure yea some people are born with a taste to kill people and quite frankly I feel these people deserve some sympathy and major medical help to try and solve this sickness from consuming more lives, obviously all this done behind walls where these people are constantly in check and the sane society for the most part is safe. What you said at the end is simply apart of the problem. We should be out trying to help these people's mental illnesses before they cause more then just harm to themselves but to others. It's always a shame when someone goes and has a mental breakdown and brings a gun into a public area and opens fire and then kills themselves. Ultimately we should be mad at the untreated illness because that person literally lost there mind and was unable to control and understand there actions. Same principle for addictive personalities. Mental health care is the problem ultimately, so many people are just locked away and left without treatment or a chance for regaining there humanity since we lack the systems in place to try and prevent problems not deal with them and toss them away as they pop up because it's easier to just put blame on somebody without even considering what kind of state of mind this person was or is still in and perhaps could be truly healed and come back to society and provide something back to the world but nope we just cast judgement and blame and hate people at face value simply because it's the easiest way to deal and think about the problem. Anyways I digress...
