Is this a scam?

Yesterday I received a notification on my university outlook email title "Assistant Opening." Since I still haven't found a job for the summer I thought that this might be a good opportunity for me. I applied to the email almost as soon as it popped up because I've missed out on several other opportunities lately, so I wanted to jump on it before someone else does. Also, I thought that the job was to help a teacher or someone that has ties to my school that wanted to help us out over the summer and give us some work experience. After further inspection I noticed that a student had posted this, which seems odd. Here is the email:

Available Position: Personal Assistant JOB DESCRIPTION : • Running personal errands. • Scheduling events, flight booking and keeping me up-to-date with them. • Making Purchases, receiving and making payment

This position will be a home based flexible part time job for a while, after which it can become full time if you have performed well and wish to work full time, you can be working from home or any location doing all your personal assistant activities, a maximum of an hour daily or five hours weekly will be required at a rate of $200 weekly.

Best regards Kindly forward replies to gmail#1 <--- Yes there are a couple different gmail accounts.

So yeah, I filled out the info and sent it to the first email, then earlier today I received a text from the person seeking help. This is how the conversation went (F for him and K for me):

F- Hello K, how are you? I'm F, I'll like to inform you that I have considered your application to be my assistant. Kindly text back to confirm your phone number. Regards.

K- Hello Mr. F, thank you very much for considering me to be your assistant. I'm doing good. How's your summer going?

F- Going great! I usually have a lot to do with not enough time to get them all done. Your basic task will be to remind me of events and help me sort out things when necessary.

K- Starting when, will you require an assistant?

F- We can commence work next week. You will be assessed with a first task to determine your ability to get things done as an assistant. Kindly send a resume to gmail#2.

K- Okay. I'll send you my resume soon. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.

F- You could also be required to help me book a flight when I need to travel, I will always send funds in form of a check that will cover the bills for whatever I need you to do for me, as well as payment for your work for me.

K- I have a question. Do you have a corporate credit card or something to use for booking a fight?

F- Yes I do. When the need arises I'll let you know what you'll help me with.

K- Okay.

I didn't give him my resume because there were too many red flags that popped up during our conversation and many more afterwards. I asked a few different people what they thought and they agreed with me that it seems too good to be true.

So what do you guys think? Scam or no?
