Scarcity

When I went to Brigham Young University, I took the most failed course: Econ 110. Our textbook was written by N. Gregory Mankiw, a conservative economist who served in the George W. Bush administration.

The absolute first chapter of the book was all about scarcity. The business and finance world want us to believe that everything comes down to scarcity and how we deal with scarcity. I find this to be backwards mind-control programming.

We CAN embody abundance consciousness should we so choose. We could not only live much more richly, but we could do so with a much smaller footprint. If people could be assured that there's enough to go around (and there is!) there wouldn't be so many instances of desperate and insane things that people do, such as theft and murder.
