Scared of COVID

My guess is that the messaging kept shifting.

In the very beginning it was only going to affect the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions.

Then it was don’t take up mask supplies, the hospitals need them most.

And as the tide shifted to everyone needs to wear a mask and actually, it can affect any body of any health or age, folks go. “So what was the previous info then? Why did it change.”

Some people either don’t know anyone who got Covid at all, or some people know someone who got covid and seems absolutely healthy (as they know currently). Or they live in a small population town/city, etc where covid isn’t really a problem and it just seems like fanfare.

I don’t know. So to come back to the whole mask thing, I think it’s simply that in the beginning they were told masks weren’t necessary and then the messaging shifted but then it became a whole production about how it wasn’t necessary before but now it’s clearly a hoax, etc.
