I already acknowledged that japril is a bit deeper cos they got married and had a kid. But as at the end, they were each other’s person and co-parents. It compares in that they’re best friends and love each other but not in love. Jesse didn’t say Jackson is and will forever be in love with April. He said “japril will last forever” and that is not the same thing. Crowen will last forever but Owen still fell in love with Amelia. His past relationship with Cristina doesn’t invalidate his love for Amelia. Same way Jackson once being in love with April will never invalidate his feelings NOW for Maggie.

Maggie knows their history just fine. She said to Jackson she knows what japril had was big and complicated and also said he shouldn’t apologize for taking care of the people he loves and she meant April and Harriet. Because of course he loves April and Harriet, they’re family. She’s not insecure when it comes to April cos in 14x19, Jackson reassured her of his feelings for her and told her he was sunk for her and not going anywhere.

Jackson and Maggie don’t act like a couple? Making out, smooching, going on dates, reassuring each other of their feelings and both saying they’re in it and not going anywhere isn’t acting like a couple? Holding hands in public and with his arm around her shoulder isn’t acting like a couple??? Yeah right. Lol. They’re a couple, a new one but a couple all the same.

Chemistry is subjective. Not even an argument. Also the only ones claiming Jesse is doing bare minimum acting are japril fans. Jesse is a professional. He’s not going to jeopardize his work and his paycheck for a fictional couple.
