The scene where the young woman confronts Kessler

Activism for clout, fake activism.. it’s all real and all, but the scene was so unnecessary and completely inauthentic. I don’t care what happens to Mitch. I don’t think we should still be giving him screen time, but this being his screen time makes that so much worse.

Everything the young woman said was completely ridiculous. Her behavior was extremely cringey and unrighteous. Did they mean for that to be the case? Yes. But did it come across as a writer’s temper tantrum fueled by misogyny and gross values? Yes it very much did, to me. It was a bizarre and disgusting scene. The Italian woman came in and cranked up how bad it was. I mean what the hell was that.

I actually was so disappointed when I saw that scene. Kinda reminded me of the Space Force show in which they have a blatant AOC stand-in, who is made to look ridiculous. They attempted to achieve some kind of “both sides” thing but.. frankly it felt gross, especially when that character was right about everything.

We all know what they’re doing with that scene, though. We know what audience they’re going to get excited with that scene. It’s disappointing. At least Corey and Stella are still rocking my fuckin world.
