It was a wild swing in opinion. It went from “Maybe Minsh will get some starter looks” after Dallas to “This guy can’t even be a backup” in a week. His reality was always between that. He totally looked like shit in the saints game, he was pretty uncharacteristically making poor decisions, which I think Steichen never gave him a real chance to get out of it when they leaned on him all first half. You’re playing a bottom 10 run defense and your backup was struggling, it was pretty baffling how few runs he called.

Minsh is still a premium backup in my eyes, people’s expectations are too high on what a backup is actually supposed to provide.
