Scott Hahn, who normally avoids liturgical debates like the plague, shared this brief article on social media. He’s certainly not a TLM-only Trad, but there seems to be some common ground in this point that *how we celebrate the Liturgy* impacts what we believe.

This is true. The historical critical method was initiated in the early 20th century by liberal protestants. The result? Most things claimed to be said by Jesus in the gospels were not actually said by Jesus. Most if not all the books were not written by eyewitness account (much less the apostles themselves). And most of the infancy narratives were legendary.

So please stop labeling people with 'conservative' or 'liberal'. It makes people choose sides they don't understand.

And this, coming from someone who use to believe wholeheartedly in the method to the point of believing Jesus did not know he was divine, nor the fact that he was redeeming us in being crucifiied.
