SCOTUS expansion to 11 justices would be a net gain for Republicans

If you go to 11, you are likely back to Roberts as the swing vote, and Republicans haven't gotten enough of what they wanted under that dynamic. They don't care about appearing reasonable or seeming to want to cooperate. Democrats are all socialists which is a short jump to terrorists, if you listen to the top brass of today's GOP. They will rail against expansion, insisting that it is not in line with the wishes of the founding fathers, and cry foul about a "power grab" by Democrats who will likely be leading both the legislative and executive branches for the first time in a long time. They have committed to partisanship on everything during this administration, I would be surprised to see them turn back willingly.
